Is there a trick to switch on iPod when it's on low battery?

You have to plug it in and wait a few seconds for it to charge just a little before it'll turn back on.
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

If I plug it in, it takes 10 minutes. If I am phoning via Skype, I want to go on immediatly after plugging in!

It shouldn't take literally ten minutes to turn your phone back on after a dead battery. Am I not understanding the situation correctly? You are talking about when your battery becomes so drained your phone switches off and shows the low battery symbol right?

My battery runs out in about 1 hour of playing games and using the Internet
