Cleaning up unjailbroken iphone

I jailbroje my phone, worked great for a week, then started dropping calls and slowing down. I unjailbroke it but my crashing/dropped calls/speed issues have got progressively worse since then...about a month ago. Any suggestions? iPhone 3G.

Have you tried actually turning it off? I know I forget to do this for MONTHS sometimes, but I notice that any stability problems go away when I actually power it down and then up again.

Yes and if this don't work, try hardreset: HOLD Power/Standby button+Home button, for a long time. Then it should Restart. The restart take longer than a normal!
