Cheap Mac
I'm looking for a newer iMac or MacBook as cheap as possible but still in good shape. Any suggestions of where to find one?

You'll always find the best non-eBay and non-Craigslist choices here: http://lowendmac.com/deals.shtml
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
Re: Cheap Mac
I've seen the best prices on Craigslist, desperate people needing money fast. I saw a MacBook 1.83 GHz (the first core2duo) on the Boise Craigslist for $300! But you gotta check EVERY DAY and have the cash in hand.

Re: Cheap Mac
Try PowerMac.com. They carry new and used Macs. The used macs come with a 90 day warrantee and the prices vary depending on the type of machine and the equipment installed. You can still get a G4 Powerbook or any other G4 machine as well. The prices aren't dirt cheap though. They also tell in the description what software is installed and the general condition of the machine, noting problems with the screen such as spots or dead pixels.

PowerMac.com just goes to a domain squatter's placeholder page. I think you mean PowerMax.com.

You're right. I stand corrected. I did mean PowerMax.com.
Re: Cheap Mac
Make sure you never buy from Gainsaver.com for a cheap Mac. It took over 6 months, threats of lawsuits, Better Business Bureau involvement and finally a bank return of the money for a Mac that was not as advertised. Beware!

PowerMac is a very good resource, I have used them for years and never had a problem.
